I just noticed a new blog on kamillas fight for life put on today. shes about to start chemo session no 23 and sounds as if she is having a tough time. Most of us know someone whos been through this and our thoughts are with her and ian and olivia. A big thank you to Ian for taking the time to keep us informed about events and customs on skiathos on his skiathan blog in which must be a very difficult time.

Thank you cariad - I had just noticed it myself and have come to find your post beating me to it.
I don't know how anyone can put up with all that. I get angry every time I think why have they still not found a cure? Just think how quickly it could have come if only they spent money on it instead of all the weapons and so forth.

I know what you mean, there is alot of research going on, and for alot of cancers now the outlook is very good.We have a fantastic hospice in our city and it annoys me they have to rely on charitable donations to keep it running, when the goverment throws billions at dictatorships abroad. But we are luckier than most in this country, greece for example hasnt got the advanced scanners and drugs we have here, and my in laws in wales for example have to travel 60 miles a time to the nearest hospital dealing with oncology, not a trip you need on top of chemo. My son has run two london marathons for cancer charitys, and this year was running for childrens cancer now he has young children but has had to defer next year because of injury, he said its very emotional when you see people running with photos of loved ones pinned to them.
