I’ve just clicked on Facebook site, a conversation ongoing as to the effect of corona virus re visiting Skiathos, the usual doom and gloom merchant having there penny worth.
on occasion you do reap some useful information from FB but few and far between.
the reason I enjoy this forum, people can post controversial topics, but an adult balanced debate follows, usually a good deal of positive information can be harvested.
i so enjoy peoples holiday ‘blogs’ for want of a better word, again lots of information, and a nice balance of humour. I am unsure if I’m not the first to arrive on 10th May, unfortunately not as articulate as some members, but I honestly don’t think it matters.

Nah, look on the list, you’re at least second, if not more.
Better start a thread about hair.

School boy error on my part ,should have checked the list as you stated Dennis.
Unfortunately I won’t be starting a thread on hair, as I have no personal insight into the subject matter.👨🦲

Well, I was thinking of a thread about the envy of hair, partings, curls, pony tails, mohicans, crews, all the things you and I could wax lyrical over.
or how about foreheads?

There are benefits to no hair, really ! my husbands hair is very thick and grows quickly makes him very hot while on holiday, hes often pondered about a number one haircut. i couldnt believe it when i saw rubbish about coronavirus either, surprised Ian SL1 hasnt put a cutting comment

On the bright side, my suitcase doesn’t need ,hairdryer, straighteners, shampoo, conditioner or styling gel.
But saying that, the wife’s straighteners usually end up in my case, may take some explaining if customs ever open my luggage

I have ‘a full head of hair’, but always have it cut short.
So I benefit from some of the above, but not all.

Don't put yourself down, Dave - I think you're very articulate!! I love reading your posts ... in fact you are spot-on; all of the regular posters on here contribute well-written and interesting material. You're also spot-on about Facebook ... I also groaned to myself when I spotted the corona virus thread - awful . I think some of the groups are just far too big. Old Boomerangers, for example, is creeping upwards to 8,000 members! The repetition is annoying - obviously new members don't have a clue what's been happening or said in past months & so start stuff off all over again. There are also a few trouble makers on there - sometimes nasty. I don't look at it very often as I get too irritated!! I just wish it was easier to post photos on here, as that's what I enjoy on FB - looking at pics of Skiathos & posting a few of my own.
