Did everyone on here still know that you can still get health card even though we are no longer in the EU. It entitles you to Free or reduced rate healthcare in EU and non EU countries. worth having, will still have travel insurance of course. You can apply on line, took 14 days for card to arrive

Thanks for reminding me Cariad. Our EHIC cards are still valid until they expire in February 2022, but I’ll be applying for these new ones soon.
PS We’ve never used them - in Corfu we never found the national health clinic and used the local private doctor, not too expensive. And in Skiathos our only need was when I got flattened by the motorbike in 2017 and I got ambulance to hospital and cleaned up and stitched there, without anybody even mentioning money. I did have to pay for a DIY tetanus injection from the pharmacy, but that isn’t covered by the Greek national health service anyway.
