What a relief to see the Forum back up again after the shock of a notice of technical problems earlier on. Good to see that the host has a sense of humour. I hope that this one doesn't go the way of the old board, after all Richard's hard work. It would be good though if more of the members started posting their holiday reports, photos or topics for general discussion.

I have been that busy, I didn't even know it had gone down.
Bob, however hard we try it doesn't seem as though people want to post there reports. I will have to try as hard as you to promote this forum over the winter months. If you have any ideas, give it a go or let me know.

You were probably enjoying the sleep of the just when I tried to log on around 6.30a.m.! The message said that they were aware that there was a problem and jokingly blamed it on a big bad bear, which they then scored out and said technical difficulties. Nice to see that they have a sense of humour and that helped to ease my frustration at not being able to log on.

After reading this earlier, I went back over my old posts to see if I had written anything about my first Skiathos visit this year and I had added stuff on a lot of the days I was actually there, conversing with Dennis at the time as he was there when we were... I'm sure this forum will go from strength to strength so please don't give up.. I love popping in here... When we came home from our trip I gave up looking in anywhere for quite awhile, as I was a bit down as at the time, we had decided as we are going to need to save hols to visit our emigrating daughter who is going to Aus in just over a week, I felt depressed looking at Skiathos again... but we have decided to go for one week next year and my enthusiasm came back in leaps and bounds... So many people use only facebook nowadays, so anything will always have to compete with that, or Trip Advisor.. I did try and use photobucket to upload all my photo's.... but after more than an hour, only 6 uploaded, so I gave up..... I wish I could just post the odd one, like in FB to be honest, but anyway, lets try and promote this site a bit more huh?...

Yes it does take quite a while to upload photos to PB or Flickr, but I suppose it does depend on how quick your internet connnection is. It probably took me about 20 hours in total to upload 2000 photos to Flickr over a period of 3 days this weekend. FB and Twitter are much more user friendly when it comes to doing it.

Hmm. I find Photobucket relatively simple - allows you to drag and drop and you can select multiple photos to drag and drop. My major time consumer was simply putting the required photos together in one album on my computer, so that I could select all of them and upload in one go (we - Vera - takes zillions of photos on a 16Gb SDHC card, in the hope of getting a few good ones. Ever since we went digital I've told her to just click and go, then we can view and select, unlike the good old days when you took your film into Boots to have every last one printed to your embarassment).
