Hi there it will be hopefully my 4th time going to Skiathos and the first for my girlfriend. Im due to go in to LGI for a heart op sometime in october and we were thinking of getting away for a week or so to the island to take my mind of things, im 37 and my girlfriend is 34. We have been told by taxiacris apt owners who were friends with we can have a room for 20euros a night(brucie bargin) were looking to go around the end of sept begining of oct till the 5th (monday), and looking for flights from manchester or leeds bradford to either direct to the island or to Athens then the ferry or hydra thingy they have to the island. My question is who can help us regards the cheapest possible return flights and ferry situation, failing that we will try to book for end of May next year for a week. HELP!!!!! hehe cheers

Hi bigfuz, have you tried Olympic flights only. Were selling at £295 on small planet for 18th Sept & for another £20 on Germania. Those were the cheapest flights I could find for a week. Tried Skyscanner and the direct flights were coming up in the region of £1,400!!! Good luck in your search. :-)

I think there may be a problem with running over the end of September, with not much in the way of flights back in October.
The only time I looked at flight only, those £1,400 "direct" flights were over several legs - something ridiculous like Bristol to Heathrow, Heathrow to Oslo or Amsterdam, Oslo or Amsterdam to Athens, then Athens to Skiathos, with each leg subject to not missing connections, but often with long waits between flights. I almost concluded you could row your own boat here quicker!
