Hi everyone or G'day to be precise! Just thought I would drop by and say Hello from down under where we are visiting our daughter and hubby in Perth WA seeing as we are in the original *Boomerang* vicinity We are here for 3 weeks, arrived on the 16th October, never thought I would ever visit Aus but here we are. Long trip via Dubai and the second leg was long but it wasnt as bad as I thought and seeing our girl when the doors slid open in arrivals for the first time in a year made it all worthwhile We are having an amazing time, apart from the wonderful local birdlife and their strange sounding birdsongs we have seen seen some beautiful animals. Of course lots of Kangaroos, roadside and over her garden fence but also camels (yep) emu's Humpback whales on a lovely day out to sea, lizards, lots of dolphins down the river and on the waterfront in Mandurah, daughters nearest small town.. We went to Fremantle yesterday which was great and the market there was like a small indoor town and the most AMAZING place... The foods, the fruit and veg, the loads of variety of small shops was out of this world and will forever be in my memory, just the smell of it made my senses smile, fabulous. I was very very upset when we were told they were leaving England, Bob I remember your kind words re that time but I have to admit they have made the right choice and the area they have chosen to live is perfect for them. Near to plenty of shops for their needs, 2 mins away from the Murray river where they take their small boat and go in either direction to find beautiful scenery or do a spot of fishing, many beaches for either swimming/beach fish casting. We are using their big old car and getting about on the days they're having to work and as they drive exactly like back home its easy for hubby. We are having a few days down Margaret River in a beachside luxury hotel this week which we are really looking forward to, last Sunday which happened to be our Ruby (40th) wedd anniversary we rode on a steam train then were treated to a lovely lunch at a fabulous winery where the owner an amazing 82 yrs young lady had us in stitches with her banter with us... Everyone we have come across are so friendly and chilled, it's all *no worries* I bought my grandson a boomerang which I might take a pic of and use it as my profile on here lol. Well as the uk have put their clocks back Im now 8 hours in front here in WA so I will bid you goodnight and Im about to start another G'day!! Thanks for reading who has, only about. 8 months before we are back to the other Boomerang place.... Bye for now!
