Well we have booked our accommodation for June and again in September but alas no flights yet, they are soooo expensive? Anyone else found this to be the case, they were creeping up before Christmas and I rather hoped they would come down after but as yet no change....

east midland flights have gone up a lot for sept, unlikely to get cheaper now as seats sell. YOU need to keep looking and if do come down book quickly. At the minute its cheaper to book package for sept and not use accommodation than book just the flight. Look at Olympic prices for Manchester if you can go from there, cheapest option at the minute

There's a new operator starting this summer. From Manchester and Bournemouth. loloflights.com/Prices start fairly low and rise when you start adding hold baggage! (20kg £25 each way per person).

Booked a bargain return flight with Thomas Cook from Manchester yesterday £156 for 18 May 2016 and just been told by my daughter that it's actually gone down another £19 today. Also going 24 June to 8 July booked with TC last September from Newcastle as found a much cheaper route for the last 3 years

Found Thompson flights from Manchester to be very expensive this year and works out cheaper to get a package. Thomas Cook are at least £50 each way per person more expensive than last year. New flight operator out of Manchester is an option as is going via Athens on Agean - As always there is always a bargain out there its just a case of either booking early or holding your nerve and booking late - Dont forget those pesky cookies that seem to keep the prices high too.

I'm quite convinced that the number claims for delayed flights has a part to play in the increased charges. They have to be paid for somehow. Bob
