Only visited skiathos once in 2014 going again this year September. We never got to Aghia Elenis beach . We stay in town and use the bus.... Looking at maps it looks like I get off bus stop 25 and walk, is this correct ? And how long is the walk ? Or do I need to hire quad bike etc ? Any help be appreciated .

Aghia Elena (I guess that is where you mean) beach is reached from Bus Stop 25, I would estimate about 400 yards from there. Follow the road inland, it will take you there, all tarmac road.

Thank you Woody for your reply. Last year we walked from koukanaries to mystique on Xenia beach, that took approx 15 mins, however we were looking for banana beach but obviously took the wrong dirt track road. We would try again this year, so any tips please on how to walk from banana beach from koukanaries and how long that would take? Many thanks

When you walk up the dirt track to Xenia Beach (or Aberlekia as it used to be called before it became posh) you bear right when you get to the top then follow the dirt track and it will bring you to Big Banana. If you want Small Banana, keep right when you get to Big Banana and follow the track up and over a hill. From the last bus stop near Koukounaries Beach it will take you 10-15 minutes to walk it.

It's a lot further than 400 yards!
Hmm, Google says 550. I reckon if you can manage 400 yards, you can stretch to 550 and personally I bet I wouldn't notice much difference as I enjoyed the walk. I hasten to add that I prefer 40 yards to 400, although I did enjoy the walk from the other bus stop (23) to the beach/harbour (?) at Koukounaries and that looks a similar distance.
