Postcards sent to our grandchildren this year took over 6weeks to arrive, our fault for posting them in Kanapitsa rather than at post office. my gripe is ,I posted this on TA asking for timescales on other peoples postal experience, mainly to raise a topic for discussion, however it appears TA have taken offence to this and removed my posting. i now ask similar question on this forum

I noticed that your post had been removed and couldn't understand why. I have usually posted mine at the post office in town, in the belief (rightly or wrongly) that they might go sooner and usually they are received at home in 7-10 days. Bob

I also noticed your post had been considered 'inappropriate', Dave! Ridiculous - as you say, you were asking about the experiences of others. Odd!
We don't send postcards these days - not sure why we stopped.

I have also seen just now that your TA post has been removed!! Ridiculous! However, can honestly say we have never sent postcards from Skiathos. I do write some, (one, for Mum!) but to date there has always been someone coming home to post in the uk for delivery before we get home And that's why we like to have wifi to "post" !! (Except for mother of course!!)

If your question was inappropriate, what about my answer where I said I sent the same postcard each year for three years, without doing anything about the stamp? Mystery.
Fortunately I only have one friend, Vera, so I don't need to send postcards ever since I retired (that was back in the days of postmen, not TNT).

Have I imagined this ..... didn't you start another TA post on this topic Dave, after they closed the first one? (Or it could have been by Gasman) Only that second one has totally disappeared, although the first is still there. Very peculiar! And ... poor Dennis - only one friend! Somehow, I think you're pulling our various legs!!!

There are some seriously sad people on the TA forums who think they are in charge of what is and what isn't posted hence threads disappear on a whim, this could be stopped if the folk who press the 'report' button were named .. but then come to think about it there would be some right cyber arguments going on Dennis your post was hilarious, a real out loud moment so thanks from me for that.

Think I stopped posting cards back home whilst on holiday about 10 years ago.
