I've had it with this weather! After a couple of days with novo virus, immodium and 2 hot water bottles, I got up this morning to minus 7 degrees and I'm fed up! I really want some more of this...

After 4 days freezing in the fabulous city of Prague, (very much enjoyed) I can honestly say it doesn't feel cold here. Except I've woken up with the dreaded cough & cold. I'm ready for sunshine too.

And yet with our funny climate, it seems like only a few days since we were warmer than Skiathos.

I hope that both of our mods are now fully recovered. It's also good to see that no one took advantage of their absence by posting anything "naughty"! 😱 Bob

I returned from Prague with a dreadful cold, my OH is delighted as it's really only affected my voice, can't speak!! Still like your "ticker" countdown Dennis, but, just looked at my countdown & think 30 weeks sounds shorter than 6+ months!! So, when do we all put the Christmas tree up??

We did our tree etc yesterday. Vera was beginning to weep every time we drove past a house already decorated so we could leave it no longer. And Angela had emailed photos of her house in Evagelistria Street already decorated, well embarrassed and jealous!

The tree has been standing in the garden getting covered in frost (hope the dogs not been piddling on it ) waiting for other half to climb in attic to get the decorations, and have for the annual moan about it. Now hes just muttered cant we wait until next week, his birthday is on the 13th or all the needles will be off by christmas. Do you think he'll notice if i decorate it on monday while hes at work?

Depends whether you bring it in from the garden, I think.
