Hi Smudge,no need to pre book taxi just get one outside the airport.I don't know how much it will be to where you want to go but I'm sure others will . Won't be as much as Thomas Cook .

Hi Amtgold ...Thanks for your reply ... We have been before and taxis always seem to be in great demand and just seeing if there is a way to pre book without going through TC and paying a ridiculous price ? , would prefer to book in advance if poss ? Cheers Smudger

Appreciate any suggestions ... Yammas Smudger.... I think for £150 you could book in advance a car for a week for them to hand over to you at the airport when you arrive and collect back from you at the airport when you leave. £150 is approximately £100 dearer than taxi cost both ways. And £142 more than the bus fare for two people both ways!

Hi don't book with TC we did last year and expected a private return journey.... no way we were FORCED to share with our luggage tied with straps and driven with the boot up by a very irate driver because we had dared to question why we were sharing when we thought we had a private deal with TC. TC at the airport were no help. On our return home we eventually got a full refund but it took a while !!!!! Enjoy your holiday you will love it.

Yes, depending on where you are staying and how much luggage you have it is possible to walk from the airport to the bus stop in the harbour then bus it all way to Kouk (as long as your accommodation isnt far from the main road there). Even a taxi all way from airport shouldnt be more than £25. TC are taking the mick. I will be getting a taxi to Megali Ammos this time as I have my OAP mum in tow but doubt it will be more than 15 Euro to there from airport. My package last time in 2015 actually included transfers but I think they were only about 15 Euro return (in a mini bus) to Troulos.

Can I just say - I'm a professional driver after a fashion - whitevanman. I would be unhappy taking a booking to meet an incoming flight at normal rates, because of possibility of flight delay - that's hanging around not earning and not able to take another job because of that commitment. If you're determined to use a taxi, I'd just wing it and pick one up when it comes available after you land - the taxi drivers know the days when flights are coming in and they'll go out there to make money.

Hi Everyone ... Many thanks for the replies , but sadly to say booked transfer against our better judgement and wallet, although didn't go for the full personal transfer taxi but will be sharing a taxi for about 50 quid less so whoever we are sharing with will be in the same boat ... sorry the same taxi..lol

I'm just thinking about this. You know, with experience so many people could save themselves a fortune on transfers. Unless you have a mobility issue, or enormous suitcases that weigh zillions of tons, the bus stop is certainly possible from the airport. I know if I were to go under non-inclusive terms (i.e. having to pay the tour operator for transfers) I would certainly do this myself. All it needs is the will to do it and accommodation reasonably accessible from a bus stop. It really breaks my heart to se the ripoff price smudger is going to pay.

We're flight-only with Thomas Cook, so no transfers. Last year we booked a hire car, picked up at the airport- easy option, though we didn't use it much. This year (staying again in Koukounaries) we've opted not to have a car & will get a taxi at the airport. Even if we have to wait a while we won't mind ~ we'll be in Paradise!!!

Hi everyone , thanks for all your input , This is our only second visit to this beautiful island , Im sure once we are seasoned visitors we will happy to to take our chances on grabbing a taxi at the airport than rather line TC pockets ?
