We're flying from Birmingham in September and not been there for years. Any advice on where to leave our car would be appreciated.

We always travel from Birmingham and park in in car park number five which has always been very satisfactory. Itis a ten minute walk to terminal or you can get the free bus.

We have used the Meet and Greet service every time with satisfaction. Until our latest trip. I had loads of emails from Birmingham telling me they have been working to improve parking and I will be mega joyful with it. But when we arrived, they had changed it and the signage was rubbish and I ended up in the short term (VERY short term) drop and go car park which allows next to no time until you start paying by the second (almost). They had relocated the Meet and Greet about 200 yards. Bad enough outward bound, but coming home with my legs in bandages was a nightmare with the cases. Unfortunately I have already paid for our September Meet and Greet so we have that to look forward to!
For our 2018 trips I shall be investigating the hotels situation as I understand you pay for the night before in the hotel and get free parking - that's my guess, but I'll investigate further.

We have used no. 5 in the past and it is just as steephill described. Have used the stay & park method suggested by Dennis several times at other airports with great success but the transfer options did not look very good when I researched Birmingham. We ended up using no. 1 and it is really close to the terminal. Similar price (from memory) without the hassle of readjusting seats with meet n greet.

Agree with you Dennis Birmingham is the worst signed airport ever, and getting worse you ve seconds to read signs and decide wher to go and not always clear especially when lots of cars behind. I have the pleasure of picking son up often after business trips,he doesnt want to drive if tired or had a drink. He tells me go to short stay (millionaires row) i'll pay so he can just walk across. Thrifty me (wonder if i was really born in yorkshire ) ususally times it so i arrive seconds before he appears thanks to flight apps. I remember a few years back arriving back at friday rush hour misreading signs and found myself going down the m6 in the wrong direction not good

I think I'd hold out for a two weeker and go from East Mids if I could spare the time. I can see the attraction of 10 day hols though, shame they can't put on another flight from EMA on a Monday or Tues to 'balance' the Friday flights and give folks more options.
