I hope that the forecast for Skiathos for the next couple of days proves to be wrong. If not, I hope that everyone stays safe and there is no damage to properties. Bob

According to Ian Knights there is a storm from this afternoon for a couple of days. Hopefully, the forecast might be wrong. Bob

Thanks Bob, hopefully it is. The islands don't need another storm like September 2015!

I must have missed that, flew home on Sep 4th in 2015 so I'm guessing it was back end? I recall some really bad flooding but thought that was more over the winter. I saw footage of part of the harbour in Skopelos being ripped up and a section of the road from Skopelos town to Panormos was washed away, cars piled up on each other near the harbour.

The forecast is for thunderstorms all day today, followed by rain until tomorrow morning.
Then brightening up, warm, sunny, but windy until Tuesday tea time.
I hope everyone stays safe and there's no damage.

Lots of rain and some thunderstorms plus a healthy dose of wind. Lost a day and a bit of sunshine and had our trip cancelled.
Also a power cut last night for about 1 hour.
Sun now shining again but some cotton wool stuff in the sky occasionally getting in the way.
Annoying that it was hotter back in Nottingham than here.

Thank goodness no accommodation or business owners suffered the damage they sustained last time! It must be so hard when the season is so short without having to recover from serious damage. Bob
