Apparently Mount Karafiltzanaka is the highest point on the island at 433m.
When I found this out I was quite shocked. As a benchmark (and some of our Yorkshire boomerangers may be able to relate to this) Emley Moor Mast is only 329m tall, and for Londoners the Shard is 306m. Bear in mind that Skiathos is a relatively small island, it's hard to believe you could hide a mountain that big!
Anyway, has anyone been to the top?
Is it easily accessible (I'm not walking up there)?
What's there (other than the view)?
Is it worth going?
Any other comments?
