I've just received a reply from my e-mails to the town hall and the tourist office. The reply said that they were aware that the camera was broken and it should be repaired in the next few days! Great news! Bob

That's great news. I keep trying but always end up disappointed. Let's hope it does get repaired very soon so I can be my daily fix.

Hey, c'mon Bob. You're sounding like one of those "Ye of little faiths"!
I shall trustingly check every day, more than once. In the meantime, that Woody posted a couple of terrific photos of Kanapitsa - I could strangle him for starting my mouth watering so soon - I've still got over three months to wait for our next visit!

Dennis, I'm sure(ish) that the camera will be up and running before the general warning goes out to the population of Skiathòs, that you are about to arrive! ? Bob

I do hope so - that the camera will be up and running soon - Woody has already posted my dates to warn everybody.
I was speaking to Angela (Villa Maria, Troulos) by Skype a couple of days ago and she was saying she was really looking forward to the season starting up - you'd have thought all us tourists were a burden, but she seems to love having us and not just for the income.

Bob, what's the email addresses you used? We could all email them to let them know we care and want it up and running before whenever.

Mr Grimsdyke, Mr Grimsdyke, you are sounding a little bit "Ye of little faith". Well, today my glass is half full again and I notice efforts to reinstate the cam have begun - there's a flickering shot of the old port showing today

I see what you mean about the flickering picture - at least I hope that is what it is and not one horrendous day of lightning on Skiathòs! ?. Apart from the flickering, I hope that they manage to give the lens a wee wipe. If not, maybe Dennis can borrow a ladder when he is there and do the necessary? Bob

LOL.... that reminded me of a meal we had last year Bob...(Im not naming it cos everyone else raves about it)... 4 couples including us were sat on a little higher seating area but were almost totally ignored for ordering/serving/getting fresh drinks and getting the bill.... forget it and what a farce when we tried to pay, I almost went behind the bar and paid it in myself... Unable to connect to waiters indeed.. :/
