So, flight prices for June 2017.
TC from Manchester £900 - for 2
Aegean via Athens £600
Both with baggage (& meals, for what it's worth)
Has anyone done the journey via Athens?
As I understand, bags checked in at Manchester all the way to Skiathos. Around 2 hours in Athens airport to spare.
Flight times seem agreeable.
So, has anyone any reasons why not to book Aegean??

None whatsoever although I haven't done thiis route myself I wouldn't hesitate it's a mini adventure.

When I looked at going with Aegean, Tre, the flight out was at a good time but I think the return from Skiathos to Athens was really early in the morning (6 am) so I discounted it. Great price, though - well done!

Yes, the homeward flight is 6:30 am!! But..... for a saving of £300.....We'll cope with that!
Plus, the £300 will go nicely towards a last minute break! And, we've just agreed to drive to the airport as won't be drinking all day before our journey home! No airport taxi!! So that's another £100 plus in the pot! Result!

Flight price update: Why did I check again??? Tonight..... £473!!!! For 2!!! To include 23kg luggage!
Seriously guys & gals, you need to check out this route to Skiathos!

If I went for longer than a week I might consider it but at the moment living 35min by bus from East Mids airport is just too convenient if I can get on a plane there and next step off is at Skiathos airport. If you are happy with the accommodation in some of the packages there are some pretty good deals (only paid £525 all in for the week last year and the apts in Troulos were fine).
