And so, only 3 weeks to go In 21 days we'll be enjoying our first evening at Theodora. Cases still out as only returned from Dominican (niece's wedding) on Tuesday. All washing done. Will be ironing, where needed & re packing. Though I suspect we'll need more than Beach wear in May! Surprisingly enjoyed Dom Rep. Still not keen on the greed of the AI culture. Sadly, on the day of the wedding we endured a tropical storm for the best part of the day. I could have wept for the bride No beach wedding She was so excited after attending our son's Skiathos wedding last year. Still, it was a special day with a fab beach picture under a rainbow when the rain eased early evening. Incidentally, I couldn't resist checking prices for our departure date. Currently flight only would have cost more than our package price!! Makes you wonder what the tour operator actually pays to the accommodation?? Though we don't feel bad as most of our spends will be over Theodora bar

Exactly the same happened for my friends sons wedding there, theres was a hurricane. My son's wedding in 4 weeks, hoping for good weather, if he married abroad there would be a storm, when he went to mexico there was a hurricane and all the beach by the hotel was washed away, disasters seem to follow him around.! Hes running in the London marathon tomorrow for childrens cancer charity, so hoping no injuries we dont want him limping down the aisle. I'd like to see skiathos in may when its cooler for good long walks, i used to love cornwall in the spring with all the wild flowers and no crowds.

Hi Tre, We're also on count down, 2 weeks today, really looking forward to seeing Skiathos this early in season. We're staying in town in Atlas hotel, hope I meets up with all its great reviews. We have just been to Llandudno for the weekend, whilst we really enjoyed it, sitting outside a bar there, not quite same scenery as Skiathos.

Here's a suggestion for early birds (and blokes!)
Set up a bucket in the departures lounge, begging a couple of Euros off everybody for the webcam appeal. (Well, I can but try).

It'll be worth it Tre, lovely grub. And it didn't take me long to drive there last September (would've been much quicker if we hadn't dawdled for the views).
