Tre, you said "Started to walk up to the Bourtzi for an afternoon beer". I'm a bit surprised at that - our own experience is that the Bourtzi can't serve when there's rain because they have no overhead shelter, so they close. Did you get up there and discover that, or did you decide that shelter in the old port was a better destination? I'd like to know, because there's a chance it may rain one day during our holiday and we won't want to set off there on a wasted journey.

No Woody, that's not it - It goes without saying that it'll rain the day we hire the Jimny, it always does! But it sometimes rains on another day during our fortnight and we don't want to go up the Bourtzi if they still have only those net-like roof things.

Home now, need to unpack & load the washing machine At least the sun is shining. By 3pm Thursday we managed a walk along Kolios beach, have to say quite chilly. The Taverna looking very sad. All the chairs stacked & wrapped in cling film!! Work in progress in preparation for opening. A smattering of sun beds to the left of the beach but many more still stacked from the winter. So a swift walk to Avli in Ag P for a meze & a jug of wine. Mr Smiley as happy as ever. As we left we noticed the temperature has definitely risen a little & had to take the jacket off! Later it was back down to Ag P to meet up with friends at Platanias for our final meal. Followed by another raucous evening at Theodora quiz night. Friday; unusually we had booked a package with transfers, so our plan was for the cases go with the "truck" & let the TC Rep know not to pick us up at 3:30. Brilliant. Cases went & we got the bus to town. Lovely stroll around in the sunshine, with a coffee stop. Walked to the airport for 2:30 to find when we could check in. About 3. So a swift beer at Desires & back down with the bags. It was actually half 3 when they opened, first to check in. Bit of a long procedure as printer kept failing! Back at Mylos about 4:15 for late lunch with friends who'd just arrived on the Newcastle flight. Perfect Flight on time. Re fuel at Kavala & landed at East Mids about 45 mins early! So back on the countdown.......41 days Dennis, 1ish, Bourtzi, 6 weeks today !

Right Tre, you're on. But I'm a little worried about your capacity for beverages - two is my maximum and even at that I have to make sure my homeward route includes places for bodily functions!
